How much will it cost?

We charge £220 to prepare a Power of Attorney (either Financial or Health and Welfare) or £330 for both. For 4 Lasting Powersof Attorney our charge is £550

The Court of Protection charge an extra £82 to register each Power of Attorney.

The right choice, the right time

There’s never an easy time to talk about this sort of thing. But if you don’t set up a Lasting Power of Attorney when you’re still capable, you might not get to have a say in how you’re cared for.

What’s more, if you don’t have an LPA in place, your relatives can face long, distressing delays and expense in applying to the court to take control.

If you don’t make a Lasting Power of Attorney and are unable to manage your affairs, your relatives will need to apply to the Court of Protection.

This will cost a minimum of £2,100 and can take up to six months to arrange leaving your financial and health matters unmanaged.

So by making your Lasting Power of Attorney today, you’ll save at least £1,800. Can you afford not to?
